A Film by Brandt Goodman
I’ve always wanted to be a filmmaker. Movies, home videos and storytelling have shaped how I see the world for as long as I can remember.
Weddings are where that dream becomes something real. For one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life, I get to be their filmmaker. Present for the moments that matter, preserving a fleeting day into something lasting.
In a world that moves fast and lives online, I’m drawn to film and analog formats because they slow things down and bring intention back into the moment. Whether captured on Super 8, digital or a blend of both, at 1920 Video Weddings, the goal is always the same.
To preserve a love story on film.
MY STYLE + HOW I WORK
I approach weddings as cinematic documentaries. I observe more than I direct, allowing the day to unfold naturally rather than staging moments or interrupting what’s happening.
On the day, I stay close but out of the way. I’m paying attention to light, movement and emotion as they happen, especially the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. I want you to feel present with the people you love, not aware of a camera.
The films themselves are romantic, lived in and intentional. They’re paced to reflect the day as it felt, not rushed or overly produced. The goal is something that feels honest and timeless, a film that becomes more meaningful the longer you live with it.

FAQ'S
What is Super 8 film, and why choose it for my wedding?
Super 8 is a vintage film format that creates an authentic, nostalgic, and cinematic look. Unlike digital video, Super 8 captures soft grain, dreamy motion, and natural light in a way that feels timeless—just like old home movies. It’s perfect for couples looking for a unique, romantic, and artistic way to relive their wedding day.
Does Super 8 film capture audio?
No, Super 8 film does not record sound. However, I can capture audio separately from your DJ’s soundboard or with professional microphones and integrate it into your final film. This is included in my Super 8 + Digital packages and Signature Super 8 package.
Do you also shoot digital video?
Yes! While Super 8 is my primary focus, I offer hybrid Super 8 + digital packages that combine the nostalgic feel of film with the clarity and full coverage of digital. My digital coverage ensures that key moments like vows, speeches, and dancing are recorded in full with high-quality audio.
Can we get the raw footage?
Yes! You can add raw footage delivery for $300, which includes all unedited digital and Super 8 footage. Since Super 8 is a film format, each roll is only about 3 minutes long, so raw footage from Super 8 is limited to what was captured in-camera.
Can we pick the music for our wedding film?
I carefully select music to match the emotion and style of your wedding video, but I always welcome your input! If you have a specific vibe or song preference, let me know, and I’ll do my best to use said track.
How long does it take to receive our wedding film?
Editing Super 8 requires extra care because the film has to be developed and scanned before the edit can begin. My typical turnaround time is 12-16 weeks, depending on the season. I always aim to deliver as soon as possible while maintaining the highest quality.
Do you offer shorter turnaround times?
Yes! I now offer content creation add-ons, which provide short-form social media videos (like Instagram Reels) with a quick turnaround. This allows you to share moments from your wedding while waiting for your full film.
Can guests take their own videos during the wedding?
Of course! I only ask that guests remain seated and out of the aisle during the ceremony to ensure a clean, uninterrupted shot. If you have a designated guest filming on a camcorder, I’m happy to coordinate with them!
How do we officially book you?
To secure your wedding date, I require a 50% deposit and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding. Payments can be made via Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal (PayPal has a 3.75% transaction fee).
Do you charge a travel fee?
Yes, for weddings outside of Los Angeles County, I charge a small travel fee based on the distance. Some destination locations I love filming in (like NYC) may not have a travel fee because I actively seek out bookings there!
Do you offer engagement shoots or additional event coverage?
Yes! If you’d like Super 8 engagement footage, rehearsal dinner coverage, or anything beyond the wedding day, I can put together a custom package for you.
